What type of equipment does GameChanger want?
New or Used electronics/devices, excessive inventory, and old marketing material. We also accept end-of-life e-waste materials.
Does the equipment need to be functional?
Not necessarily. We are accepting brand new, high-value used, end-of-life or e-waste electronics/material. We want to prevent these items form ending up in the landfill and sitting around in a closet when you could donate your devices and use their value to help find cures for cancer.
What type of equipment is accepted?
IT equip – Desktops/laptops, monitors, office electronics, hard drives; Networking equip – servers, routers, modems, phones, switches; Lab/bio/medical – testing equip, lab units, instruments, systems; Consumer electronics – TV sets, cable receivers, digital cameras, video games; Misc. excess inventory (ie consumer good electronics)
What type of equipment is NOT ACCEPTED?
Any hazardous materials, house appliances (ie microwaves), batteries, Toner or printer ink, light bulbs, cans and bottles, anything with fluids (ie refridgerator), non-electronics
How does a pickup work?
Our team will respond to pickup requests within 72 hours.
What happens to the equipment once it’s picked up?
GameChanger Charity provides 100% digital data destruction for donated items. We first try to reuse the donated goods. For items that cannot be reused, we deliver secure, award-winning, environmentally-responsible solutions that are Basil compliant, US/DOD & PCI recycling with safe, secure collection and recycling of donated electronics.
Is my electronic contribution tax-deductible?
Yes, we will give you an itemized & fully tax-deductible receipt that you can use to write off the fair market value for your donated electronics.
