Gamers Give Back Tour with Child’s Play!

The Gamers Give Back Tour seeks to deliver hope and happiness to hospitalized kids & their caretakers across the country, all thanks to the generosity of the gaming community!

In partnership with Child’s Play Charity, the Gamers Give Back Tour visits Children’s Hospitals around the country to host special events & celebrate how games can improve the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses!

Each Gamers Give Back Day is an uplifting, love-filled celebration that brings smiles, gifts, hope & lasting memories to the patients, staff & families at every hospital visited.

Gamers Give Back (GGB) events include a variety of activities:

  • distributing delicious catered meals to staff
  • delivering age-appropriate gifts to patients
  • sharing important resources on gaming and technology with the Child Life staff.

Testimonials from the GGB Tour

Thank you all for an amazing event and visit last Friday, 11/13. From providing lunch to 300+ staff/caregivers and visiting patient bedsides to offer goodie bags, to putting on an event in our Seacrest Studio and Patient Entertainment Center with Pro-Youtube gamers and “debut” of a new x-box video game- there were many moments when I took a step back and realized, this is why we all do what we do. The smiles, laughs, and positive energy was palpable throughout the hospital.

Kirsten Getchell, Child Life - Boston Children's Hospital

I cannot say thank you enough! It was wonderful to see all the smiles from our patients, parents, and staff. You all truly made a difference. Thank you for choosing our hospital as one of your stops! It makes me happy to know that so many people get to be impacted by your organizations! What a difference you are making.

Erin Johnson, Child Life - Children's Hospital San Antonio

This was my first experience meeting with patients and it was really eye opening. I will never think of a life threatening illness in the same way again. It has motivated me a lot to get more involved in charity work. I encourage you to help out wherever you can! Something small can make a huge impact.

OMGChad, YouTuber, Streamer & MineCrafter

It was the best day ever and you gave these patients, families and staff a day they will never forget 🙂 Thanks to all the gamers, volunteers, and your families for also helping out!! I hope to do another event with the Gamers Give Back Tour because you truly make a difference.

Amber Chavez, Child Life & Event Coordinator, CHOC Children's
